We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Peter Wouters as Business Development Manager to help shape the rollout of Smart-ID and our timestamping tools in Belgium. With his strong background in digital transformation, Peter is well positioned to promote our user-friendly identity solutions to citizens, businesses, and governments.
According to Peter, Belgium can call itself a pioneer in digital identity: “With CSAM as a uniform federal gateway and soon also a digital identity card and driver’s license, we are ahead of many neighboring countries. In addition, trust service providers like SK ID can connect through the Belgian Federal Authentication Service (FAS), giving citizens freedom of choice. This offers opportunities for SK ID Solutions.”
Trust in the digital economy starts with secure identity and digital services. “It needs to become a natural part of everyday life, but for that to happen, it has to be innovative, secure, and easy to use. That’s why I accepted the position at SK ID Solutions,” says Peter Wouters.
The next challenge is to connect these solid foundations with innovative, user-friendly solutions like Smart-ID, so that digital identity in Belgium becomes even simpler and more accessible for everyone.
